Privacy policy

What this site stores about you, why, and how to get it removed.

This is the personal website of Maxim Safianov. It collects the minimum it needs to work and nothing for resale: no advertising networks, no third-party analytics trackers, no data brokers.

What is stored

Comments

When you leave a comment, the site stores your name, the comment text, the page and language it was posted on, and the time. The email field is optional and is never published — it exists only so I can reply. Guest comments are held for moderation before they appear.

Sign-in accounts

If you sign in through a social provider (for example Google or GitHub), the site stores the name, email address and avatar that the provider shares, plus the provider's account identifier. This is used only to attribute your comments and let them publish without moderation. No passwords are stored on this site.

Audit history

When you run a free site audit, the site stores the URL you submitted, the generated report, the time of the request, your IP address and a session identifier. The IP address and session identifier are used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Reports live at permanent, non-guessable links: anyone you share a link with can read that report, but reports cannot be listed or browsed.

Cookies

The site sets only first-party cookies that are needed for it to function:

  • sessionid — your session: sign-in state and the free-audit daily limit.
  • csrftoken — protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
  • django_language — remembers your language choice.

Dismissing the cookie notice is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Retention and your rights

Comments stay until you ask for their removal. Audit history may be periodically purged. To have your comments, account link or audit data corrected or deleted, email me and I will handle it within a few days. m.safianov@gmail.com
